Pengenalan Tabung Vacutainer
Tabung vacutainer ditemukan oleh Joe Kleiner dan BD (Becton, Dickinson & Co.) pada tahun 1949. Tabung pengumpul darah Vacutainer EDTA FOKUS 3ml adalah tabung gelas atau plastik steril dengan penutup yang dikosongkan untuk menciptakan ruang hampa di dalam tabung yang memfasilitasi pengambilan volume cairan yang telah ditentukan.
Paling sering digunakan untuk mengambil sampel darah langsung dari vena. Tabung ini terkadang juga dapat digunakan untuk pengambilan sampel urin.
Tabung Vacutainer EDTA FOKUS 3ml mungkin mengandung aditif, sebagian besar antikoagulan, yang dirancang untuk menstabilkan dan mengawetkan spesimen darah sebelum pengujian analitis.
Tabung ini tersedia dengan atau tanpa penutup yang dirancang dengan aman (penghenti karet di dalam tutup plastik), dengan berbagai opsi pelabelan dan warna penutup serta berbagai volume penarikan.
